Jan 2011: Out of the Ground

Those passing the hall will note the size and structure of it as well as some of the features that will significantly enhance the many uses of the new facility.
Dec 2010: Winter Walk
We were all pleased to see so many people willing to join us for a Winter Walk around the Doddington Estate despite the freezing conditions. The frost and mist added to the excitement and Lady Delves-Broughton allowed everyone access to Doddignton Hall for a inside view. This event proved very popular and we anticipate returning in 2011.

AUG 2010: 1940's NIGHT
During August we held one of our most enjoyable evenings around a theme of 1940's music, songs, dancing and fun to commemorate our halls passing into retirement. Due to the condition of our hall
(it dates back to the period) we held the 1940's evening at Woore Victory Hall. With fish n chips provided by the Coopers Arms (great too!) everyone had a fabulous time and a significant amount was
raised for the rebuilding fund.

Our recent Bingo night was well supported once again and the stall at the Weynbunbury Fig Pie Wakes proved that, despite the weather, the local community supports our fund raising activities.

Thank you to all those who supported our bid and helped with the application and of course to Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council.
Dec 08: Update;
Over the past 12 months we have made some significangt progress with the plan to replace Our Community Hall
and having completed much of the basic groundwork and the committee have now reached the milestone of approving an outline design for new Community Hall building.
This will retain the charm and sensitivity of the timber construction and be built in appoximately the same location as the existing hall with the upgrades necessary to achieve current planning and building regualtion requirements.
Further design is now required and also the appointment of an architech to oversee the final design and planning application.
